It is ridiculous Lola.I find the same with Royal Bank. There are two guys there who have screwed things up so bad in the past, that if I get either of them I ask for someone else or hang up.I can't even understand one of them period.
Until the know your client rule is relaxed somewhat on a case by case basis then the human factor will always leave room for error.I am referring to the people who review and approve the trade.
Should be that if a person fills out a profile and states highly speculative and they trade 30 times a month that there should be some streamlining.Someone is going to wake up and say"god we make money on the number of trades executed, let's allow some leeway here and execute these trades in an expeditous manner.
Execution because is always blamed on any number of factors not within the control of the rep I have found. When they said they contacted the floor trader and he was trying to get me a better price,I said" crap.Tell that to some other idiot but don't try and pawn that crap off on me.A market sell is a market sell and nothing else."It is the least risky of trades to process as a rep at these companies.

Another one I despise is "it is a fast market" when I know the thing is not in a fast market and volume on the markets is down. What they are really saying is the other rep is late for work and we can't keep up.That is not my fault. In my experience it has always been the practice of most banks to understaff overwork and underpay with little regard for the individual and a greater concern for the numbers.Mass marketing if you will.
The day when someone comes up with a system of trading that allows one to place an order direct with a floor trader via the net and only routed through a rep as a printout for correction with MD free and laxed KYC rules is the day a company becomes a leader in the field. It will happen. It is just a matter of time.

Watch NN. Halted again, on big drop, order imbalance (on a big decline? that can't be good!!!) possibly yet *another* preannouncement of bad earnings coming in. Pattern in the past is hard dip, big bounce, dip again, moderate rise into the next reporting season.

But if this dog dips far enough, it becomes a takeover play. Under US$20, I'm in.
