Ohmigod. That's awful. I wonder why you had insomnia though. I always read all night when I do. The thought of cleaning is terrible in daytime, much less the middle of the night. COuldn't you watch a movie or something fun?

(Everybody in my maternal family except one person who is a compulsive sleeper has it.) I would have such a clean house if I did that. Instead I read or hang around on SI or take a sleeping pill. I would give anything to be a person who cleaned all night. I don't keep a very clean house. If we never had company, it would be even worse. The whole time I'm cleaning I'm making whimpering and whining sounds, I hate it so much. I do occasional speed-cleanings. That means when it gets too unrespectable, I set the timer and say, "I'm going to clean as much as I can in 27 minutes." When I get a head of steam, as happens occasionally, and do more than 27 minutes, I am very self- congratulatory. How did you get to be so magnificent?
