"the IMF...does not go ahead...it will...be the worst day in gold's history"

Is that a threat?

Maybe I'll store a few tons of copper as a hedge against inflation?

Funny that the only real things not indicting reflation are those most capable of serving as stores of value ;-)

Goldsnow, a very good article:
''If the IMF sale does not go ahead with the sales it will probably be the worst day in gold's history,'' the analyst said.

''If they can't use it they will give it back to members, and what will all those countries do with it?'' he asked. Fund members included countries which had sold substantial amounts of reserve gold in the past, and which would probably do so again.

I was thinking the IMF would do much that {give it back}, if the sales weren't allowed to continue. Which is why I posted this to Bill:

It mentions that they have 3 possible routes, sell it or give it back are the two most plausible.

Funny conclusion - IMF is not allowed to drink and drive so it will simply give the car back. Who needs comics when we have 'analysts.'
