The documents found on Major Abbasi further reveal that the total strength of his company comprised two officers, three junior commissioned officers (JCOs), 25 non-commissioned officers (NCOs) and 83 sepoys. However, for the task allotted he had only one JCO, 13 NCOs and 56 sepoys. In order to make up for the shortfall, troops from Chitral and Bajour Scouts, which are part of the regular Pakistani Army, were provided to him. His diary does not mention the presence of any so-called mujahideens as part of his force...
