If you really are interested in patents, the PTO has made it easy for you: 128.109.179.23 Enter "isis" and "pharmaceuticals" as assignee names (there are other companies called Isis, so the second term weeds those out). You can see four new patents have been issued to ISIS since May. Why no press release? None of these are material in the short- or even medium-term. Rather than hyping news with little real near- or medium-term impact, it seems to me the company is taking the cautious approach. Biotechs that put out lots of press releases (read: hype) have been hit hard in recent years when there is no follow-through. You should be happy Isis has decided to take the low-key approach -- probably means some pretty good is coming. There doesn't seem to be any panic at the company.
