Sorry but I have to disagree...You state in your post that Amazon did not come with the baggage that BNBN does. The way I see it is BNBN has an advantage in start-up in that it has BKS(among others) backing the venture. In addition the web site has been up for two years. This is quite a test run.

I also surf the net alot for books (I live in Japan) BNBN always works just fine from over here. I have also bought from Amazon from over here, and they also did a good job. I personally have never had a long wait on either site. (At least one I would call unreasonable, and I am not a very patient person.)

You must use Amazon alot if you are so used to their search engine that BNBN's is a hassle for you. Before I typed this response I went back and checked both engines again, it was not uncomfortable for me to use either one.

Your next point is a valid one....maybe customer service can look into it.

I have no idea whether BNBN's share price will ever get over Amazons price or not. I do however believe that if the company sticks to what it knows AND keeps an eye on the bottom line then the share price will make all those who stick it out a nice profit.

Like you though, I am very curious to see how it all plays out.

James

Sorry Andrew

I prefer BNBN precisely because they do have a separate section for out of print.

It is the reason I switched from Amazon and why I ultimately became a shareholder.

Best wishes

I disagree with you about Barns & Noble playing catch up
with Amazon. Barns & Noble is also not showing up with
problems " baggage " as you called it.
BNBN has two years of online experience
BNBN has over 600 million in cash post IPO
BNBN has a better selection
BNBN has pricing that equals amazon and others
BNBN ships just as quickly " I'm a customer "
BNBN has 0% debt
What more do you expect ??
