...I am contemplating a possible decision against the Congress, and envisioning a way that might make the posting acceptable. It is merely entertaining a hypothetical. As for the other business, I think that there would be a reduction in agitation over the schools if some accommodation were reached, but that is speculative, of course. But the last question is perhaps the most interesting: Why must the schools be the battleground? Because they are integral to the process of cultural transmission, and either re- enforce or erode things taught elsewhere. Perhaps privatization would solve the problem, but that is some ways off...
