I agree with you totally. All of the closed position CAN be added. Thus if we have a return of 6% on closed positions one month, and 8% the next month on closed positions we have a cumulative 14% gain over two months.

What I meant by the above paragraph is: 6.05% return... since something should be subtracted for commissions (1%) the total return should be listed as 5% i.e. 6.05% minus 1% for commissions equals 5% total return.
That wasn't stated very well but if you knew the actual brainpower I am working with here you'd be quite amazed by my efforts.
