I am envious that you and JP are busy writing away on your books. I wish I could write, and in one sense I can, I do just fine with lawyer stuff, but that's not the same thing at all. Maybe I just envy your sense of purpose.

I'm fixing to do something really strange - apply for a job with the federal government. Chris is kvetching and kvelling about being SITCOMs - "single income, two children, oppressive mortgage." And it's going to take a long time to build my practice back up. And we're going to be a lot closer to D.C. than we were. And Ben is old enough to baby-sit Nick for a couple of hours after school. So, what the heck. I just got back from the library with books that explain how to apply for federal jobs. Chris is thrilled.

Well, they have fought me on it. I floated the idea with partner and got nowhere. Which is okay. Because if they don't get to the city, they don't get to the ocean, and then they can't get on the boat and end up on their island. <g> But they're having so much fun in the mountains, and it is cool and beautiful, they aren't that inclined to think ahead right now.

Dreaming of Libby, eh? That's a good sign. <g>
