Thread: VERY important TA signal on DELL

Dell's breakout gap on Friday breaches a six-month resistance line to the upside, a very significant event.

Momentum oscillators (such as DMI and MACD), and accumulation/distribution indicators (such as CHKO) both show a bullish signal.

I think this is an excellent opportunity to aggressively buy call options (and for some investors, to short puts). The breakout at $40 can be used as a stop, representing less than a 7% downside risk on an absolute basis.

The August 40 calls, at $4-3/4 on the offer side as of Friday's closing, was priced at a reasonable implied volatility of 54%. IMO, this is the contract to "load up" on.

If Dell trades down in the next few days (for whatever reason) to fill the gap, it would be a GOLDEN opportunity to average down your cost.
