Paul Allen is wiring together an empire
by Helen Jung
Seattle Times technology reporter
A billionaire can indulge his whims.
archives.seattletimes.com

apologies if this has already been posted, too
many threads, just getting caught up...

oops, yeah, I see now that it was--twice already,
oh well, great minds and all...

There is probably an intern at VV who is reading
this thread, maybe shaking his head about now.
Why follow Allen and his investments? The cost
to put a great idea on the net is trivial--at
least until you get into the advertising (right?)
--and you can always sell out before that point.

So...anybody want to start a thread for the next
great web ideas
? I can think of one that I'd be
happy to share--but somebody else go first. I
don't want to be the only bozo that gives his
ideas away for free.

ARIS - excellent timing, congrats. I got in later than I should have, but something's got to happen here. Too much latent value and lack of exposure.
