John, Several CEFs have 800 numbers where you can get NAV. And a few even have stock symbols that call them up. Royce is one I know has an NAV stock symbol. But many just report once a week in Barron's and WSJ.

All I have on ASA is the past year where it averaged a 3.4% premium. I have no hard numbers, but just from the times I remember, it seems to have been at premiums about 2/3s of the time for the past 30 years or so. It rarely goes 10% either way.
