Two general ideas without knowing your degree of option sophistication, or option trading qualifications.

There are several things you can do. Wait for a dip and buy the option back for less then you paid. This depends on Compaq taking a dip before August.

If you are qualified, discuss selling naked puts to off set losses on the calls with your broker. Of course, you might double you position in Compaq doing this.

Options can be hazardous to your financial health without a good understanding of the market.
