Once again GPSite thanks for taking the time to explain.

I am familiar with empirical work (economics) which leads me to wonder --

in phases I and II 2000 humans were vaccinated with AIDSVAX, admittedly little was known about dosages, but surely these 2000 have been followed, do we know ANYTHING about whether any of these 2000 have subsequently been infected with HIV?

As far as I read in the prospectus, Genentech is the owner of
the patents. So if everyone will work someday one a prototype
of AIDSVAX, Genentech gets the licensing fees.

Also Genentech has all the options to produce the vaccine.
VXGN does not have the capabilities for that.

Opponents of VAXGEN are becoming very vocal. Are they afraid that their gravy train will be taken away if VAXGEN succeeds. How much money was given to polio organizations after the vaccine was found?
