are you aware of any near-term developments which explain the relatively meteoric spike on friday?

FWIW, i was just about to bite, as i believed the drift down to 1 was due in large part to the crisis in confidence arising from the transfer to the BB.

the bid/ask spread was pretty wide at the close so there is a good chance that shares can still be obtained close to 1 1/2.
