Darrell, thanks for two great posts.

The posts were great not because they were bullish on IOM, instead, full of facts and common sensecal. Now, if a bear would counter with a post that was as fairly detailed, articulate and factual, they would be appreciated just as much. However, when one constantly shoots from the hip and multiple people are using his alias, not to mention shot credibility, how could anyone take him serious?

As I read your posts I couldn't help but wonder whether you've recived new ammo (information) regarding IOM, no?

<zip sales are rising, albeit slower than some anticipated>

Are you counting only Iomega-made Zips, or also including NEC and whoever else (Matsushita, I think) is also making Zip drives now?

As we all know, it doesn't matter what the drives cost when someone else makes them - the disk sales remain the same.

I mention the other (long-awaited) Zip drive manufacturers because they have not gotten much attention here for some time now, yet I saw my first dozen or so NEC-made Zip drives at Fry's here in Arlington, TX - which I interpret as being a good sign seeing as Boy-Rock is always insisting that IOM makes them at a loss. Yet if that is so, how come NEC wants in on the action? Are they gluttons for punishment, or do they make them for less than Iomega does?
