No - the 36" XBR costs only about $2299 - but we'll try to get a "deal" since we'll be buying at least two.

Sony has an HDTV flat panel TV for $7999 - it's about 36 inches in diagonal but only about 22 inches top-to-bottom - in accordance with HDTV aspect ratio.

Philips has a $14,999 PLASMA version !
