on CB's departure you wrote:

>>Could anyone venture to guess what the reasons were? This is a brainstorming invitation, all. I'll guess first. he wants to enter politics?<<

Who knows? Maybe he simply realized he wasn't the right person for the job. If so, it can't have been an easy decision for him. Hopefully, it also suggests a lessening of the "incredible asset in my brain" arrogance that surfaced at the deepsixing of Don Reed, and implies more of a willingness to deal. Remember at last year's meeting he stated his ownership was sufficient for him to block any takeover he didn't like. I've seen nothing to say this has changed.

Politics? Don't you think Bob Smith has CB's potential political space locked up?

Just caught your "brainstorming" post, been on vacation.

Don't think CB would have an easy time of it as a politician. Virtually thousands of disgruntled employees have gone through his doors, people that would only go out and vote in an election to grind an ax against someone like CB.

He also carries baggage, in particular one highly publicized suit he lost in regards to sexual discrimination and god knows how many other suits swept quietly under the rug.

Nope, I think the media would have a field day digging into his background. Don't view him as a front-runner for any large political office holder.

Now working behind the scenes, politically speaking, is where his forte' has and will probably remain his only success in politics.

Ya' gotta be a likable, BS'n people person. CB definitely is not a "people person".

Just my speculation,
