To me, it really looks like some sob is helped out.
CLVE does a financing and buys the AR from another x-company. Who knows whether they are ever collectible. When the accounts are foul, then CLVE not the company, has to write them off.

If done with intention it was an interesting way to cash some big $ out. But what is a million between friends.
