I think you are absolutely right, X. The net is a very strange place. I, too, would never act in 3D reality the way that I do here, and in fact consider this an intellectual and emotional escape from everyday life. You can bet that I have never mentioned my fascination with phallic vegetables in the workplace, for example!

I do agree that there are many contentious and assertive women here. I wonder if they would all behave in exactly the same way if we were all at a garden party! I do not see women acting quite so combative in the real world, because traditional sexual roles and the importance of staying feminine get in the way. The fact that we do not have that here is one of the big freedoms, in fact.

I am amazed. I would have thought that you were 100% exactly the way you appear on the net. To the best of my ability, I am.

From your post, “…I would NEVER act the way in 3d that I do on the net. Nope nope nope” …a slightly related thought:

X,

I think the net brings out the "best in people and the worst in people". At the first I thought only the worst, becuase of the strident, combative, aggressive behavior that I witnessed and was subjected to..

But now I consider that good, not good behavior, but good in the way, it brings out their true personality. It is honest, . They would
sugar coat this behavior in "nicities" if you met them in real life.. and it would take time to uncover their real values, before you could begin to avoid them. The same goes for me.. they now know my values.. Not my name. but my values..

If SI ever had a convention, I would recognize the "names", I would not mingle with.. maybe say hello to see what they looked like but not
interact much with them..

The best......Coug
