Irwin Jacobs and his tech team

I want to do a little more research before I write at length on what Jacobs has done, but my initial reaction is "WOW"!

It is almost impossible for an innovator to market his own innovations successfully. Dr Edmond Land did it with Polaroid, Edison did it, and that is about it, until Jacobs came along.

The history of Innovation is filled with the complete theft of ideas, and the ruin of the innovator. My most famous example is Nikola Tesla, who invented the AC generators, motors, and transmission system we use today, the fluorescent light, and radio, among other things. He has been almost completely written out of the history books, and was ripped off at the time he innovated. (On radio, he sued Marconi on the patents, and won, but still never saw a dime from it.)

Jacobs success is really astounding!
