What took everybody by surprise - and the reason we all thought this might be a hoax - was the size of the biggest stones. The 56 ton sample last June had 5 stones greater than 0.8 carats, with the two largest being 1.90 and 1.69 carats. This bulk sample is ten times as big, and the distribution of stones smaller than a carat is roughly parallel with the 56 ton sample, BUT THE LARGE STONES ARE 4-5 TIMES BIGGER. 7 greater than 3 carats - with a 4.85, a 4.90, and a 10! WOW! If these 7 biggest stones were reported as 2 - 4 carats, we would have accepted the story. Good Luck ALL. Here's hoping for clarity and quality!
