Micron selling defective DRAMs?

Jul. 10, 1999 (Electronic Buyers News - CMP via COMTEX) -- The chip industry was abuzz last week with various rumors of PC OEMs sending back large volumes of unusable DRAMs to Micron Technology Inc. Despite feverish checking with OEMs, no rivals were able to substantiate any of the widely varying reports. Boise, Idaho-based Micron refused to comment on the scuttlebutt, but said all its DRAMs are continuing to ship in quantity, and no DRAM returns have been out of the ordinary.
