But the problem is that with this kind of reporting system, FEW people would trust the pollyannish statisics and it could engender a panic if people feel they are not being told the straight skinny.

LOL - Sure sounds like a lotta U.S. government agencies to me. Except they're using figures far higher than that 80%.

Maybe Asia should hire the same PR agency the U.S. is using, and then MORE people would trust those pollyannish statistics.
