ynot-- I mean a well-respected analyst on Wall Street. I think the recommendation is coming very soon. It is not a broker's recommendation, but an analyst's.

between earnings & convention, shorting may get tricky

(while MCOM may not promo there, if they are mentioned
even as part of WCOM's strategy, more longs will come.)

MCI WorldCom, Sprint Join Speaker List For WCA '99 Show

WASHINGTON, DC -- Leaders from Sprint Corp. and MCI WorldCom, Inc. will
join those from America Online (AOL), NEXTLINK Communications, and Look
Communications as headliners at WCA '99, the leading annual show for fixed
wireless broadband providers. The 12th annual show by the Wireless
Communications Association (WCA) will be from July 12 to 14 in New Orleans.

Sprint President for National Integrated Systems (NIS) Kevin E. Brauer is
scheduled to speak July 12 about his company's innovative Sprint Integrated
On-Demand Network (Sprint ION). He leads Sprint's efforts to enter local markets.
He has worked at Sprint since 1983, previously serving as President of Sprint
Business, which serves business and government long distance customers.

On July 13, MCI WorldCom Chief Policy Counsel Jonathan B. Sallet will provide
insights on his company's broadband access strategies, which (like Sprint's) are
being enhanced by major recent deals to acquire MDS wireless spectrum. He
develops and coordinates MCI WorldCom's public policy positions and oversees its
advocacy to the federal government. Previously, he served as Assistant to
Secretary Ronald H. Brown, and as Director of the Office of Policy and Strategic
Planning at the Department of Commerce.

Previously announced were other WCA '99 keynote speakers at the Morial
Convention Center: AOL Executive Vice President for Global and Strategic Policy
George Vradenburg, III, speaking on "The Future of Broadband Access";
NEXTLINK Vice President for Network Development Margaret Marino, who
represents the largest LMDS license holder in the U.S. and speaks on "Broadband
Access: Here And Now"; and Look President and CEO R. Scott Colbran, who
speaks about his company's digital video services and high-speed Internet offerings
in Canada.

"Because five of the private sector's most relevant and successful executives will
share their visions as keynoters," commented WCA President Andrew Kreig,
"WCA'99 will be a pivotal event for broadband wireless access and the new
entrants who want to foster productive relationships."
