Before I started with Schwab, many years ago, I
read through their agreement and had several things
highlited to ask about. When I did ask, the pr people
had apparantly not read it, and confidently said blah,
blah..., what I wanted to hear...

The schwab contract is definitely written to cover their
ass, not the customer -- as you'd expect I suppose.

I've been shopping around and am considering wall street access
or eTrade as possible alternatives.

I'd be very interested in what Schwab's reply to you is, though
I wouldn't expect one in writing if I were you.

I haven't received anythng from them about disclosing any kind of info. Seems like when I signed up with them, several years ago, they specifically said they wouldn't unless required to by the courts. If thats changing, I don't like it a bit. Please keep us informed...
