shrinks, LOL. No one you mention is producing .18 in volume. All including INTC are having problems. Please check your facts, perhaps by calling the guys and trying to get an ASIC built. The DRAM guys are ALL still ramped on .25 with 64Mb stuff. If any were able to produce .18 64Mb or 256Mb stuff, they would be making money. Are any? I think not.

Re: copper. IBM has produced some parts with copper interconnect, but nothing in volume, and they still can't produce any MPU at 550-600Mhz in anywhere near the volume of INTC. No one can. Too many problems to still overcome with copper.

LSI has always advertised stuff about a year before deliverables, and shouldn't even be mentioned.

shrinks, BTW, when you see a 256Mb DRAM at decent price, or a major graphics company announce a new part in .18, then you will know someone is producing in volume. Until then, anything read about in the trade rags is vapor.

LSI?? Still LOL.<ggg>
