Hi there Cheeky Kid -

Many thanks to you and PMS Witch for your help. I did all that you both suggested and now have 48 Mb RAM on my HP Pavilion 7320. Oddly, it seems to have improved the speed when I'm on the net more than when I'm off-line and using a program like Quicken. At any rate, the improvement is a relief.

I noticed that Compuserv is giving away a more powerful system than the one I own for a mere 3-year commitment. That may be a better way to 'upgrade'.
