I called to cancel my AOL today, as I'm getting the TCI@Home service installed on Wed. I asked the Rep. what date I was paid up to, and he said the 27th. I expected him to encourage me to stay on for the additional $9.95 fee that I hear people discussing on this thread. He never mentioned it. I was also wondering if he would comment on TCI@Home's offer of paying for AOL through '99. I actually didn't think he would bring it up, but was curious. I was surprised that he just said, "Thank you for your business." He evidently wasn't paid enough to be persistent. My wife told me that AOL was probably glad to be rid of me since I have software that keeps my connection alive. In fact, I leave my computer on days at a stretch. Maybe they will be glad to dump me.:0)
