billyjeanne: Big difference between AOL and E*Trade. E's service has been the pits since last November. When E*Trade has problems there is more than just an inconvenience to its customers....E*Trade's customers can and do loose a lot of money because of these ongoing problems.

E*Trade should NOT be used by daytraders or anyone that depends on timely trade executions.

Regards,
LG

No pain no gain. 100% agree.

This is a classical case that software app pushes the hardware to the limit. The hardware side will respond to it and advance further. The app will be bigger and again pushes the hardware to the limit again. The phenomenon will repeat itself until both of them reaches equilibrium, I hope. It is typical: software drives hardware then drives software then drives... I am in technology development business so I can relate to it and it does not bother me a bit. It is a fact of life for now.
