So I guess there are socialist fascists and non-socialist fascists, and the distinction is without a difference for those who live under their thumb.

The Nazis were made up of disaffected veterans (many of whom had joined paramilitary outfits), petit bourgeois members of the anti- Semitic right, and left-wing revolutionaries who despised Communism's "internationalism". Josef Goebbels was one of those who had been recruited from the nationalist left, and he confided to his diary his enthusiasm for the Hitler- Stalin Pact. He honestly thought that Stalinism and Hitlerism could collaborate in changing the face of the Europe, and hence the world, and could tame Anglo- American imperialism and "Jewish" capitalism....
