Hey, what suits you suits you, jp! It's purely a matter of personal taste. As for croquet, we used to play it on our own front yard. (I still would, if there were any kids left to play it with.) Don't need a Victorian mansion to do that. As for "garden parties," I have in mind the cocktail-party type, when you have to get all dressed up and "circulate." Ugh! Now, I love to assemble my friends outdoors, around the big table under the umbrella, where we all eat like crazy and yammer away -- contentiously, of course -- for hours. If that can qualify as a "garden party," then I'm all for it! <g>
