If you're considering buying (or bailing out) -- the
following quote from ML may be interesting
"Conclusion
In conclusion, we would not sell the stock at this point but feel
we could be looking at an extremely volatile situation over the
next three to six months. Long term outlook is still very strong due to Ericsson's unequalled position in cellular infrastructure which comprises approximately 50 % of the company's revenues and most of it's profitability. We also believe that the mobile market will in the next 12 to 18 months start to introduce data and internet services and applications more aggressively. This will be enabled by many technologies (from an infrastructure perspective General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) in the GSM world and IS-136+ in the TDMA are examples)
We believe that Ericsson has a lead versus its peers in the development of these infrastructure technologies and that mobile operators will incrimentally spend capital on this upgrade in the next 12 months.
In our opinion the new handsets products will also improve margins of this division . However there could be some short term issues due to the possible delays in T28 (new high end) roll out.

The new management team and the overall depth of quality management at Ericsson makes us feel they will recover but there could be a couple of worrying quarters ahead.

We retain our Intermediate Accumulate rating and long term Buy rating on the stock. "
