No, it's because 1) they have the fastest drive-thru lines; and 2) you can eat hamburgers one-handed while you drive, but not tacos or fried chicken or pizza, especially not when wearing clothes suitable for the office. For reasons which escape me, our local Wendy's are unbelievably slow - they never have people with more than a rudimentary understanding of English manning the drive-thru microphones, they try to sell too many things - potatos, salads, fried chicken, wrap sandwiches - which slows down the lines, and they always get my orders wrong.

I am a serious scholar of drive-thru. Back when I used to be really swamped with work, I had two mottos: "Real lawyers eat drive-thru" and "The children of real lawyers eat drive-thru." If I took a lunch-break, I'd drive to a fast-food place and eat in the car on the way back. I would only go to a restaurant for lunch if I was with other lawyers and we were talking business.
