Actually, IBM is not shipping ANY .18 micron parts yet. The PowerPCs
are in .25um and their mediocre performance is much more a function
of an antiquated design than anything else. The system 390 folks achieve over 625 mhz in .25 micron with the SAME process. And they
are very conservative in terms of deep sorting.
