>>>>>>Note to ALL. . . . . . . . . . . . About my Posts. . . .

My Responses:

Some here have asked some well-researched questions, deserving of detailed responses. . . however, if they were asked during the course of the market day, they may very well have had brief or even shallow responses. . .especially during summer months.

I have not heard any complaints about this yet, but just thought I should express that not all of my responses get the same attention. There is no pattern to this. . . it is totally random, based on the time of day, the amount of DD required by me, whether links are included, what's going on here in the real world and numerous other factors.

So please do not read ANYTHING into my responses other than what they say at face value.

I am not writing between the lines. Please don't read between them.

If anyone ever feels that they deserve a more complete response, please ask more specific questions, and give links to info that would be relevant. If I don't respond, it may just mean that I forgot or got busy or something required immediate attention. Again, point out the question or comment or whatever later on and when I have more time, I will happily respond.

Many questions are answered by some of the veteran traders here. . .and I will add, only if I feel there is an angle that has not been explored or if I disagree with the response.

There are times when I skip questions or comments altogether. Again, I am not making a comment by not commenting. . . so don't read anything into it. . .I say exactly what I mean to say. . . and will confront anyone that I have a problem with directly. . . whichever way I am being addressed, both publicly and privately. . . .

I don't flame people often, but when I do. . .it is generally caused by an aggression on the part of the poster, whereby they will not yield to truth. . .or they have a hidden agenda [whether or not it is immediately seen or known]. . . or I suspect other insincerity or scams. And if I do so, it is for the good of the thread.

EVERYTHING is up for debate. . . discussion. . . logical argument. . . research. . . opinion, etc. I encourage discussion of all topics presented here. The only thing not welcome on the HOME thread are personal jabs, hostile attitudes, character attacks or violations of SI Terms of Use.

Remember that I respond to public posts that deal with the most relevant issues required by all FIRST. . . .other public posts are second. . . private posts have been known to go several days without getting responses. . .and these are most often left unanswered, as I view them as least important to the thread as a whole. Email are same as private messages. . .and since I delete email by looking at return addresses and headlines, it is also possible that I may inadvertantly delete a letter from someone here.

If I don't respond to your email at all, it is most likely because I deleted it. So write back. I generally respond to all personal email. . .especially if there is something in the subject line that catches my attention. . . I get hundreds of email per day [mostly news and junk].

So don't be shy about asking things here. . . I harbor no ill will toward any of our posters, and only wish for everyone to prosper.

>>>>>>Note to ALL: . . . . . .The Future. . . Our New HOME. . .

I am working to get us our own site that will make communicating, doing DD and keeping track of our plays and trades, far easier, quicker and more fun. There are also many advantages posting privately over publicly, which is why the sudden migration away from these public boards, by trading leaders.

Personally, I don't care for SI's new website. . .and find it difficult to navigate and MUCH harder to remember what thread you are on. . . heck we post to the wrong threads now. . .imagine when you shut off thread header and the subject lines are very small and hard to locate. . . potential for chaos.

I intend. of course, to still keep this thread open, but will use it on a supplemental basis only. . . .picks, plays and SAMs will only be on the website. Since "after hours" traders will not need real-time market info, they will pay a VERY reasonable amount for membership. Those that trade throughout the day will pay a premium. . . but still not as much as the 200-400 per month "going rate" that has been established by some.

I still intend on doing the mutual fund, release the books and a few other things I have not mentioned. . . .as soon as possible. . . mostly, I am waiting on others to help lay some ground work, pave the legal road and invest in some new corporations that will oversee my website/internet ideas and related activities.

While it is true that I must justify the time I spend here, and will be charging for some of the websites, products and memberships. . . it is also the case that I do this, because I feel I fill a gap in helping some investors cross over from losers to winners. . . help get others started. . . and help some to increase trading profits by getting folks to:

A] Choose a trading style
B] Learn it well
C] Make a plan and stick to it
D] Don't believe what you hear
E] Do your own DD
F] Think for yourself
G] Make your own decisions
H] Take profitoften

There are enough hurdles to jump in the market, without having so many to jump in the learning curve of trading. . .and without getting "played" by analysts, journalists, brokers and other big time traders. I have been plenty outspoken on the subject, in an attempt to thwart their plans, with regard to those here on the HOME thread.

So we have much to be thankful for in 1999 so far. . .and even more to look forward to in the coming months. It has been an honor to contribute to everyone's profits. And I look forward to far better gains [for numerous reasons], once we get our site up and running like a finely tuned machine.

I have put in hundreds of hours of thought into "what" will help us mostly and how to make that work best. And along the way, have stumbled onto some terrific ideas that I hope to spin-off from the main group.

I could tell you. . . but then I'd have to shoot you. Suffice it to say that innovation and original ideas are one of my strongest assets and I no longer have time for ventures that are unsuccessful.

Wish I could say more, hope that helps answer some unasked questions.
