Money is great James. But the whole point of it is (usually) to secure happiness- by providing enjoyable things for oneself and one's family- and possibly for society. If you are not enjoying your life, I fail to see why money, or more money, would be useful. Unless the pure pursuit of money is fulfilling.

And public school teachers have homes and can pay their mortgages. And, I suspect, they have compensations that it would be impossible to place a monetary value on.
