(COMTEX) B: Bitten By The Office Bug
B: Bitten By The Office Bug

Jul. 10, 1999 (InternetWeek - CMP via COMTEX) -- When you've been a
net detective as long as I have, you can't help seeing a few bugs. I've
seen bugs so big they had their own network address, bugs so mean that
they would chew up a server just to watch it fail. But I had never seen
a bug like this one before.

It was 6 feet tall in its stocking feet, of which there were more
than I cared to count. It had a great, hairy torso that looked as
though it could eat a midsize company. It made me think of IBM, which
is in talks to acquire (EP 7/23#5) Systems, a company that makes
supercomputers based on the Intel architecture. The deal is designed to
help IBM bolster its Intel-based server line.

For tomorrow, I'm trying to do a lot more shorting as I recognize overextendeds stocks all over the place. But I think this will be short lived as the week of 19 will have some of our favorite on the move again (i.e. GNET, BVSN, RNWK, ISSX, and NSOL).. all others are fair game. LGTO is great but its up days seem numbered as well. I'll try to be on top of ADLAC (hope it hits like DISH did today), hoping that PHCM stabilizes,XETA is an old favorite. EPAY 3 day short was very good as was the intradays on YHOO and INKT. I'm still not done with these yet.. CMGI looks like a good candidate

LVCI announced a split after a good report but I'm all sold out, but might be able to get some more. RIMM is an old favorite (like AUDC) that I am enjoying and its moving up again.. Otherwise I'm still very hesitant about the net sector. Still expecting some sporadic gains for earnings like more of the same with EPAY, BVSN and perhaps VIGN otherwise I'm ready to short anything that was up today.
