NEW DELHI, July 11

BHARAT Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has bagged a Rs. 45-crore order to supply a sub-station on a turnkey basis to Karnataka Electricity Board (KEB).

According to an official release, BHEL's scope of work in the contract envisages complete design, manufacture, supply of equipment, erection, testing and commissioning of a 2X315 MVA, 400/220KV sub-station on a turnkey basis at Talaguppa near Shimoga in Karnataka.

As part of the contract, the company will supply two auto transformers, two 400KV 50MVAr shunt reactors and 400KV circuit breakers besides auxiliary switchyard equipment.
