Clearly, a post about x86.

The 18 year reference was a reference to 1981, the ship date of the original 8088 IBM PC, and how x86 cloner/competitors have yet to catch up.

Now if you want me to respond to #reply-10460628 please link it in your response.

This discussion is about all chips.

Wake up. There are two discussions going on. One about process leadership, and another about the ease of x86 cloning.

Now that that is cleared up, your original assertion is that MOT and "others" have been blowing Intels doors in process leadership for years. Please provide some supporting evidence in terms of any reasonably high volume shipping product, CPU or otherwise, for the last 5-7 years.
