Everyone who took chemistry (and passed, anyway) remembers Avigadro's number is 6.02 x 10 to-the-23. This refers to molecules per mole. That does not mean a single molecule is not present in a solution containing a substance. That is extremely counterintuitive as well. A mole is a lot of molecules and a solution of something may not contain a whole mole. See above. You are correct in your other definitions, and Zicam does contain a small amount of zinc (so toxicity is not an issue), but it would be totally inaccurate to say it does not contain a molecule. Hey, I was a chem TA...

I do not believe in many homeopathic remedies, but one thing I have learned not to do is dismiss anything out of hand.
