I bought and used Windows On Wallstreet for several years
through their 4.0 version.

I stopped using them when it became evident that they were
married to Dial Data as a data vendor (probably getting kick backs).
I was also using Dial Data at the time but switched because
1] they were too expense, and 2] at the time, it became impossible
to use because it took hours to download their data...ticker by
ticker by ticker by ticker.

After dropping Dial Data..I soon found that WOW became nearly
worthless...since they stored data directly from Dial Data
into their own format. Yes..WOW can read Metastock data..but
not real well.

Ken

Yes, I agree, QP2 probably could attract a lot of those people. But, not sure what you meant. I use WOW now with Virtual. Have forever, never had a problem. Did I miss something?

No, I missed something. I forgot that WOW can read MS files. I haven't set it up, is there much to it? What's involved on a one time and daily basis?

Re the Y2K issue, I'm split on this. I am in the software business and recognize the right and neccessity for companies to retire older versions for support and bottom line reasons. On the other hand, I have heard that little has changed between your version and mine (v7), so the support issue is a non starter in this case.

I would think they'd be well off to provide a minimal cost upgrade. I heard rumours that might be in the cards, have you contacted them lately?

Thanks and regards
Michael
