Wang Wei: I noticed most posts in this thread failed to make correct predictions, while never examine if something wrong on their part. For a comparision, another thread was correct in most of times.

It would seem the prudent thing for you to do is not read this thread or post on it. Just stick with your better thread...lol!

Regards,
LG

It is so obvious to me that the market will be up big next week.
From fundamental, a lot fewer profits warnings than last Q, all the economic numbers to indicate a strong Q;
From technical point, inflation worry correction was small compared with 1997, reflects strong expectation on upside. In 1997 a 1/4 rate hike brought market down from 7000 to 6300, then the market went quickly back to 8000. Expect this time to be better.

Thank you for your response!....I agree with your thoughts about the market....I have found, however, that many of the posters on this thread are quite knowledgeable and that I do well to allow their caution to exert some influence on my trading....a bull market is not always an up market and they seem to be pretty adept at calling a lot of the downturns....and when those downturns have ended.

I have read many posts on the thread that you mentioned, and there is a lot of merit there as well....I think we are very fortunate to have a site like SI that is populated by so many experienced and intelligent investors.

I beg to differ. When Donald Sew speaks (and LG, Lee, and others on this thread), people listen.
