On the question of money: at the time that Reagan and Bush put their assets into blind trusts, they were both valued at a bit over 2 million dollars. In Reagan's case, most of that was tied up in the ranch, and in Bush's case, most was tied up in the family compound in Kennebunkport. Neither was rich, although both were comfortable, and neither has been able to make the children rich...
