Those of us from New Orleans find it difficult to sympathize with Yankees who experience heat waves. Well, that's not true, I feel sorry for people who live in dangerous neighborhoods and are afraid to open their windows because they are afraid of crime. But you almost never read about old people in dangerous New Orleans neighborhoods dying from the heat, maybe because the houses are made of wood and have no insulation. I think I read that all the people who died in Philadelphia recently lived in brick row houses.
