More y2k major test failures:

How many of these are not reported or keep quiet?

07-12-1999 "Y2K test in New Mexico dumps 4000+ gallons of Raw
Sewage"(source: MSNBC) An electrical equipment failure during a Rio
Rancho Water Treatment plant Y2K test sent 4000+ gallons of raw sewage
into an arroyo. Workers were able to clean up around 2000 gallons.
(Editor's note: This is the second failure of this nature in the last
few weeks. There were many reports on the Van Nuys sewage spill in
June, '99 that also was a failed Y2K test.)

07-12-1999 "Y2K fix breaks down, leaving hundreds without water"
(source: UPI) Residents of Incline Village Nevada were without water
over the weekend when the newly installed Y2K compliant system went
"haywire." The general improvement district installed a new telemetry
system to control pumps at 12 reservoirs because the original system was
not Y2K compliant. The system broke down early Saturday draining four
reservoirs.
