Jim, I will agree in principle that they public companies primary objective is to the shareholders. Most people become shareholders in any stock because they believe that they will make money by selling the stock at a later date for more money than they paid for it. Small caps are more voilatle that the large stocks and thus will have higher ups and lower lows than a GE or IBM. Let them do what they think is best and down the road hopefully everyone will be happy. Curtis
