<<No I meant molecule. Sufficient dilution >>

OK, if that is what you meant, fine, but then the point is that in Zicam there is much more than one molecule per dose because the mechanism of action is that the virus binds it instead of the nasal ICAM. Despite the definitions within homeopathy itself, a dose of Zicam contains much more than 1 molecule, otherwise it would indeed be placebo. If this were the case with Zicam, I would agree with you completely, but I do not believe it to be the case. A reading of the Zicam label says it is a 2% solution. - Pictures of the label: are here -
uia.net and also
uia.net
So, I think this argument stops here. Dilution to the extent you are talking about simply does not apply here.

I think we are blending philosophic arguments with labelling requirements and only the latter really pertain to Zicam. Indeed, I am sure that they know precisely how much is in each of the 120 metered doses in a container and this will be in the study since it is on the label. I would expect no less from USC Ph.D. membrane physiologists, wouldn't you? Indeed, if such information were not there, I would immediately disavow any type of belief in such a product. And no journal would publish that. But, it is rather clearly labelled. So, we will wait and see what happens. Best of luck whether you short, long or ignore GUMM.
