Amy, As I recall it was an AT&T experimental method where some members were far far away and others quite local, but all out of sight. They recognised that many creative people lack the general bullmoose gene and tend to get shut out by higher alphas at meetings. They had an idea generating phase, then a combination period where duplicates were combined and then each idea was separately analyzed and the ideas it generated went through another round and over to number two and so on with virtually all ideas brought to the fore for discussion and analysis for whatever strengths or faults lay therein.
I am not sure what brand of sotware was used.
It was over a year ago that I read of it. I have heard of similar stuff that does the same thing. SOme have iconic heads that are depersonalised, some have true heads with lip wiggle to make it look realistic, with low bandwidth. I am sure there are many converging on the same space. I am also sure that the Jerrys of the world will not like this as they are control orienetd. Instead a new paradigm should be idea oriented.
