TexasDude, you have a few good points...

Music purchases are primarily done by teenagers, and right now the entire digital music world is disorganized.

I doubt that it will sort itself out and determine a "true" standard within the next year.

You do make an error in your statements though...

"...my problem is that for a customer to utilize the WAVX system, they need to have purchased a computer with the devise (sic)installed, pre-send money to WAVX and have it stored in their account for debiting when they make a purchase."

The entire PC doesn't need to be purchased -- I purchased a TV tuner card from Hauppauge with the chip installed. USB EMBASSY will be available this year. And it has been mentioned by Wave that a pre-pay type of scenario will be available, where no visa #'s are needed.

Make your own decision. My mind is made up, but it took many questions, like yours, to satisfy me.

Tony

You say that Liquid Audio is having no problems signing up content providers, but that's for music already created. If you were a content provider what would you prefer?

TexasDude. You don't understand Wave's technology and what it offers each party. Consumers won't use it because it protects content providers from piracy. Consumers will use it for three main reasons: because they can rent-to-own content on or offline, it offers them privacy and control over their personal details, and protection against their credit card details being stolen. Content/service providers will use it because it protects them against piracy, protects them against credit card fraud, offers them multiple ways of distributing their content/services to a network of individuals more likely to rent-to-own their product than if they have to make full payment upfront.
